Kristen Jones is originally from the Seattle area, and has been a part of the SPU community for most of her adult life. She completed three SPU degrees, participated in several SPRINT trips, and was a member of the Women’s Varsity Crew team during her undergraduate years.
She worked for several years as an ER nurse before returning to SPU as a nationally board certified family nurse practitioner.
She considers working at the SPU Health Center a dream job, and she is thankful for the opportunity to continue to be a part of the SPU community through serving students in this capacity.
In addition to her role in the Health Center, she also precepts graduate nursing students as adjunct faculty in the School of Health Sciences. Kristen enjoys health education, health promotion, and supporting our students and student-athletes on the journey of taking responsibility for their own health and working toward whole-body wellness.
When not on campus, she is running in multiple directions supporting her own three mini student-athletes, keeping her crazy Coonhound out of trouble, and exploring, hiking, and climbing mountains with her husband and family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
